ABOUT THE PLACES OF LEARNING

The central element of the project is the innovative educational format of the "RuralAcademy". The adult education centre is practically brought into the rural regions, with the actors of the rural area themselves acting as educators and passing on their knowledge and experience to those who are interested. By linking this with tourist offers, a pleasant and unique learning atmosphere is created.
In the PLACES OF LEARNING the potentials of the rural area and its actors are connected with the curriculum of the MAREA project in order to train interested learners in the various topics of sustainability by making them experienceable.

The RuralAcademy places of learning are an ongoing process. Even after the end of the project, new places of learning will be added. The map of tomorrow shown above enables us to enter and describe the new places of learning directly. The booklet on this page, on the other hand, describes the origin places of learning. In the MAREA project, more than 20 places of learning were established in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Norway and Croatia. A detailed description of the places of learning built in the project can be found in the following PDF.
